ABOUT

A recognised academic in her field, Dr Moghadam was the first academic to publish and provide expert guidance on women rugby players’ mental health literacy and has presented her research at renowned international conferences. Alongside her applied work, she is a lecturer in psychology and sport psychology, ensuring her work remains firmly rooted in research-informed teaching and evidence.

Dr Moghadam brings a rare depth of insight to her work through her own lived experience as an athlete. She previously competed as an elite amateur boxer in both the −48kg and −51kg categories, securing regional and national titles and competing at iconic venues including York Hall, London and the internationally renowned Haringey Box Cup at Alexandra Palace.

Her resilience, mental fortitude and belief in psychological training were further demonstrated when she reached the finals of the gruelling television series SAS: Who Dares Wins, where she consistently applied psychological principles under extreme physical and psychological pressure.

Beyond her individual practice, Dr Moghadam is one of four national leads working with the Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES), playing a key role in the training and development of trainee sport and exercise psychologists working with athletes. She is also regularly invited to contribute her expertise across national media platforms, speaking on issues ranging from athlete wellbeing and performance psychology to the responsibility of governing bodies in supporting the athletic community.
